Teejan Bai :Singer of Pandavani, literally means stories of Pandavas and involves enacting and singing with instrumental accompaniment an ektara or a tambura in one hand and sometimes a kartal in another. She won Padma Shree in 1988, Padma Bhushan in 2003.

Anilkumar Manibhai Naik: Naik has been associated with Larsen and Toubro Limited for over five decades and has played a major role in the organisation’s rise. He was instrumental in boosting the company’s presence overseas, the morale of its employees and focused on delivering superior value to stakeholders. He had been awarded the Padma Bhushan in 2009. He has also served as the Chairman of IIM Ahmedabad.

Balwant Moreshwar Purandare: Purandare, who is best known for his book on life and times of Chhatrapati Shivaji called Raja Shivchattrapati and play Janata Raja also on the life of Shivaji, calls himself a balladeer of Shivaji and presented the romanticised life and times of Shivaji through his works and speeches for the last three quarters of a century.
