As included in the election manifesto (‘Modi ki Guarantee’) for the Vidhan Sabha Elections, the newly formed government launched many schemes to fulfil the promises made under ‘Modi ki Guarantee’.

The important schemes or initiatives are:

Krishak Unnati Yojana (कृषक उन्नति योजना): to provide the difference of MSP and the amount promised Rs 3100 per quintal in the paddy procurement. Farmers would receive the benefit from Kharif 2023-24 season.

Facts
1. The MSP (as declared by the Central Govt) is Rs 2,183 per quintal for 2023-24.
2. Farmers to get Rs 917 (Rs 3,100 – Rs 2,183) as benefit under the scheme.
3. The paddy procurement in 2023-24 was approx.145 lakh MT.
4. Around 25 Lakh farmers would get the benefit under the scheme.
5. Provision of Rs 10,000 Crore included in the Budget 2024-25.

Shri Ram Lalla Ayodhya Dham Darshan Yojana (श्री राम लल्ला अयोध्या धाम दर्शन योजना): to take residents of 18-75 age group on pilgrimage of Ayodhya Dham in Uttar Pradesh

Facts
1. Chhattisgarh became the first state to offer its residents visit Ayodhya Dham in Uttar Pradesh.
2. Every year around 20,000 beneficiaries will be taken on a pilgrimage under this scheme.
3. The tour will also include visiting Kashi Vishwanath Temple at Varanasi.
4. Provision of Rs 35 Crore included in the Budget 2024-25.
5. The train with the first group of pilgrims was flagged on 5 March 2024 from Raipur.

Development of Shakti Peeth (शक्तिपीठ विकास): Kudargarh Temple (Kudargarh, Surajpur), Chandrahasini Temple (Chandarpur, Raigarh), Mahamaya Temple (Ratanpur, Bilaspur), Bambaleshwari Temple (Dongargarh, Rajnandgaon) and Danteshwari Temple (Dantewada) to be developed on lines of Chaar Dham as part of around 1,000 km long Tourism Circuit. A provision of Rs 5 Crore included in the Budget 2024-25.

Deendayal Upadhyay Bhoomiheen Krishi Majdoor Yojana (दीनदयाल उपाध्याय भूमिहीन कृषि मजदूर योजना): to provide financial assistance for the agricultural landless labourer with Rs 10,000 annually.

Facts
1. The amount has been raised from Rs 7,000 to Rs 10,000 annually by the new Govt.
2. Traditional priests in Scheduled area who are known by the names of Pujari / Baiga / Guniya / Manjhi etc. are eligible for the scheme despite holding agricultural land.
3. Provision of Rs 500 Crores under in 2023-24 budget.
Prime Minister Kisan Samman Yojana (PM KISAN Yojana)
1. Launched on 24 February 2019 to provide income support to all the farmers.
2. Initially it was for small and marginalized families (SMF) with combined landholding below 2 acres, only.
3. From 1 June 2019, it was extended to cover all farmers irrespective of their land holdings.
4. Around 23 Lakh farmers are presently getting benefit of Rs 6,000 annually in Chhattisgarh.

Tendupatta Collection Price increased: to Rs 5,500 per standard bag (मानक बोरा) up from Rs 4,000

Facts
1. A standard Tendu leaves’ bag has 1000 bundles with 50 leaves in each bundle in which 25-25 leaves are arranges facing oppositely.
2. Tendu Leaves are known as ‘Green Gold’ amongst the tribals.
3. Around 12.5 Lakh families will be benefitted under the scheme.

Chhattisgarh Uddyam Kranti Yojana (छत्तीसगढ़ उद्यमक्रांति योजना): to encourage self-employment for the youth by providing 50% subsidy in loans

Electricity Bill Half Yojana (बिजली बिल हाफ योजना): 50% subsidy up to 400 units of electricity for more than 40 Lakh consumers. Also, free electricity up to 30 units for single bulb consumers.

Korba-Bilaspur Industrial Corridor Construction (इंडस्ट्रियल कॉरिडॉर निर्माण): to encourage industrial activities near National Highways. Also, an Entrepreneur Center to be set up at Bhilai.

Atal Monitoring Portal (अटल मॉनिटरिंग पोर्टल): launched on 25 December 2023 to monitor and review flagship schemes of the State Govt

Niyad- Nellanar Yojana (नियद-नेल्लानार योजना): meaning your good village focuses on developing remote Naxal affected areas of Bastar. 14 new armed forces camps would be established and 5 villages around each camp would be selected to saturate 25 basic government schemes for the development of the village.
